Stovetop
the quickest and most buttery
Gently boil hot dogs in water or beer for 2-3 minutes. Melt butter in non-stick pan and toast buns on each side until golden brown
Oven
good for winter, or you just need tots
Get the tots going. Towards the end, with 5-10 minutes to go, add the hot dogs and butter-coated buns, ideally with the buns on another sheet pan on a higher shelf. Flip buns and hot dogs to cook evenly
Grill
toast on both sides when hot dogs are done
